Nigeriaâs economy making progress despite reform pains – President Tinubu

President Tinubu says Nigeria’s economy is making serious foundational progress despite the difficulty of the reforms his administration has embarked upon since it assumed office in 2023.
A statement released by presidential media aide, Bayo Onanuga, quoted the President as saying this while speaking in a meeting held in the State House, Abuja, on Wednesday, July 15.
“Yes, reforms are difficult. It has not been a McDonald’s customer relationship but a harvester of good things, if implemented well, and that is what we are about.
The reforms on revenue will continue to stimulate growth. And the effect of the reform? Yes, some issues are difficult, taking the bitter medicine, but it is working well.
“For the economy, Nigeria is making serious foundational progress.”
